Emmylou with balloons

The colours on my last project where a little muted- so for this card I wanted to use brighter coloured papers while keeping the card as simple as possible.  After much procastination I settled on a simple layout sewing around the balloons to create an applique type effect.  "Sweet Emmylou" is one of my favourite little girlie stamps- so I used her again on this card.

Little Birdie

I just love this very cute bird paper, so much so this is the second card I am making using it. For this simple card I decided to make my own feature image - a larger bird (inspired by the paper) which I then hand stitched around and used green felt to make the wing and tail feathers.  I added a little red ribbon, some flowers with hand made leaves using the same green felt (stiching on the detail) to complete the card.  A simple yet very enjoyable card to make!

To make this card I used:
Green felt and navy blue thread
Red craft ribbon
Kaisercraft Black rhinestones
Cobalt blue cardstock and blue ginham
"Birdie" paper from The Green Stack

Gift Box

This little project started off life as a diorama card, inspired by the one I recently spied at http://www.limetart.com/ .  However, I was not happy with the way it was coming together- so I altered it - ending up with this little gift box.  Despite not being that happy with the end result, I have enjoyed playing around with it...I made this with someone special in mind- hence the little initial on the flower.

To make this card I used:
Beige French Satin Ribbon
Ornate button and initial from Spotlight
Kaisercraft Black Rhinestones
Black hat feathers from Spotlight
Kaisercraft "feather" and sentiment stamp from English Rose Collection
Papers- Avalon 'Illusion' and 'Fantasy' and 'After five Collection' by Kaisercraft.
