Little Birdie

I just love this very cute bird paper, so much so this is the second card I am making using it. For this simple card I decided to make my own feature image - a larger bird (inspired by the paper) which I then hand stitched around and used green felt to make the wing and tail feathers.  I added a little red ribbon, some flowers with hand made leaves using the same green felt (stiching on the detail) to complete the card.  A simple yet very enjoyable card to make!

To make this card I used:
Green felt and navy blue thread
Red craft ribbon
Kaisercraft Black rhinestones
Cobalt blue cardstock and blue ginham
"Birdie" paper from The Green Stack

Gift Box

This little project started off life as a diorama card, inspired by the one I recently spied at http://www.limetart.com/ .  However, I was not happy with the way it was coming together- so I altered it - ending up with this little gift box.  Despite not being that happy with the end result, I have enjoyed playing around with it...I made this with someone special in mind- hence the little initial on the flower.

To make this card I used:
Beige French Satin Ribbon
Ornate button and initial from Spotlight
Kaisercraft Black Rhinestones
Black hat feathers from Spotlight
Kaisercraft "feather" and sentiment stamp from English Rose Collection
Papers- Avalon 'Illusion' and 'Fantasy' and 'After five Collection' by Kaisercraft.

Something old!

As it has been such a busy few weeks, I have not had much time to just sit and craft- so I am cheating by adding a photo of these little bears I made last year as  "thank you" gifts for my daughters birthday party.  It is her birthday today- so this is what reminded me of them!

Little projects.....

I have been playing with my copics during my spare time and have made this little card made to with a small pocket inside to hold a store gift card...  I love ALL things Japanese and found this lovely Cherry Blossom stamp at a local craft store.
A lovely little stamp I recently purchased from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps on line. "Shy Emmylou" is very sweet and although I have a soft spot for the gorgeous Magnolia stamps - I think that this range is just as lovely and lots of fun to colour. I turned this into a small gift tag to attched to an Easter treat for a precious little girls first Easter.

Easter Craft...

Cutting out all the bits for our Easter craft project..
Putting all the pieces together...
Adding the chocolate..yummy!!

All finished and wrapped!

This year my daughter and I made Easter baskets to hold the little chocolate treats for our extended family, although simple in their design- I was happy with how they turned out and they were lots of fun to make!!

More boy cards

I decided to make use of the papers and stamp I purchased to make my sons card to put together a couple of smaller cards for later use.  I have made the best of my small selection of copic markers to attemt to give a little depth but I really need to purchase some more to do this well, particularly with regard to the hair.
